Lady Lucia Update (April Edition!)

Happy spring, everyone!

Not a lot of announcements this month, save a follow up on my wishful thinking from my previous update–

$1500 by May: In just under four weeks, it will be officially a year since I launched my Patreon and dove into this whole professional writing endeavor. I had no idea what to expect back then. But now? I’m still amazed at how much support I’ve seen in the form of pledging, feedback, and everything in between. I absolutely plan on continuing my writing ventures, and am really excited for where the current ongoing stories are headed. 

As I mentioned in last month’s post, I really love the idea of reaching $1500 on my Patreon by the one year mark. It’s definitely a lofty goal, as I’ve never seen that much of a pledge spike month to month, but I’m still holding on hope that we can get there. That would not only be a really inspiring number, but also would put us halfway to the next milestone. And, if we can hit that in-between goal by May 1st, I’ll publish a new short story on my Patreon–taking patron suggestions this time for what said story will end up being. 

Any and all pledges and pledge increases are greatly appreciated! All the Story Focus votes have been really close over the last few months, so definitely consider trying out the second tier if you want to impact things for the coming month.

Publish a new, full-length story.

At least 50K words in length, and posted all at once when we hit this goal. Like the short story(s) from the Patron Goal rewards, this will be a Patreon exclusive story.

UPCOMING POSTS

As usual, “The Road Trip” has the most votes for Patreon stories. “The Tutor” slightly outvoted “The Teaching Assistant,” so that one will get a sooner update this month as well. For the first time, “The Babysitter” has the most votes for website stories. Additionally, there was a decent showing for “The Faire” and “The Prefect.” And, finally, “The Prefect” has a couple of requests from Tier Three patrons.
