Lady Lucia Update (October Edition)
Happy October, everyone—
I’ll try to keep things succinct, as I tend to get carried away when writing these updates. Instead of the stream of conscious writing like I did with last month’s post, I’m going to experiment with a new structure this time around. Let me know which way you prefer better; feedback is always welcome!
Patreon Goals
QUARTER-TIME WRITER: At this landmark, I’ll be making enough annually off my writing that this could be considered one-fourth of a job. When we hit that goal, I’ll decrease my hours at my day job and be able to dedicate more time to writing. Every story part will get a 25% increase in word count. We’re nearly a third of the way there—thank you to everyone already supporting me on my Patreon!

NEW (AND COMPLETE) SHORT STORY: When we get to one hundred patrons, I’ll release one of my currently unpublished short stories. After making final edits and such, I’ll post the story on here in its completion. Rather than uploading one part at a time, I’ll put the entire work up at once for everyone to read from start to finish. As of this morning, we’re halfway to that goal!

A few notes: These are only the scheduled posts, the ones I’ve marked on my calendar thanks to the results of last month’s poll as well as the two works that have consistent upload dates. As for the rest, I’m giving myself some flexibility like usual. Additionally, there’s a reason things mostly cut off at the fifteenth—that will be the end date of the next Story Focus poll, so I won’t know which stories will receive more of my attention until then.

A few things I’m hoping to add to my site in the coming weeks:
Patron Acknowledgement: I want to create a page that lists and thanks my patrons for their continued support. Once I figure out how to organize it and make it look clean, I’ll be copying names word for word, letter for letter. Patrons, here’s what I need from you—When you see this page show up on my site, make sure that you’re named the way you want to be named! For example, I might prefer ‘Lady Lucia’ even though I have a username out there that says ‘LadyLuciaStories.’ Alternatively, please let me know if you don’t want to be listed, for the sake of privacy/anonymity/etc. Anyone in that camp should message me ASAP, and I’ll wait a little while before publishing the acknowledgment page to make sure everyone has had a chance to see this before I do.
Artwork: I’ve been wanting to have a page on here to share artwork, similar to the page designed to promote other sites. I just received a lovely work depicting a scene from “The Prefect,” which inspired me to put this artwork idea into action. Since I’m nervous about copyright and permission and such, I’ll probably end up linking to things instead of putting any images up on the site itself. And, since I hit so many genres on here, I’ll have to organize it in a way that makes sense. As usual, lots of things to think about. Stay tuned!
Conclusion
Okay, maybe not so succinct. But at least more organized, right?
