Lady Lucia Update (New Year Edition!)
Happy New Year, my dear readers!
I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Mine was pretty hectic; my day job is always busiest in December, plus I had a few social obligations with friends/family on top of that. I’m looking forward to a calm January, where I can take a bit of a breather from everything else and focus more on my writing.
While I don’t really do the resolution thing, I still think the start of a new year is a great time to form a game plan. So, here’s what I’ve got for you:
Plan for 2025
To put it succinctly, my goal is to wrap up as many stories as possible.
That being said, I don’t intend to rush to the end of anything. It will just be nice to find a conclusion for some of my longer works, considering my habit of creating ‘forever stories’ that could just keep going without a clear ending in sight.
As of December, I’ve finished ‘The Conference’ and ‘The Sister.’ In terms of my other stories, ‘The Business Trip’ will reach its conclusion in the near-ish future, as will the current arc of ‘The Road Trip.’ As for the latter, it remains to be seen whether there will be a third arc or not; I may opt to take a breather after the second, so I can take a step back from the story and come back to it later with some fresh energy.
I also plan to limit how many new stories I take on, even after other works are completed, as I’ve been listening to the feedback about how many of you would like more updates for the stories that only get so many installments each month. Fewer stories means more posts for those stories.
Finally, as my plate gradually clears up, I intend on shifting towards “short stories” moving forward. I’m putting that in quotes because there’s a pretty big asterisk when it comes to the word ‘short’ in this context. Essentially, I plan on doing some kind of split between shorter stories that are contained to a single post, while also writing some in the 10-30 chapter range. Still some variety in story length, including works that can be enjoyed over time, but I’m going to try and stay away from the 50+ part stories.
Website Catch-Up
Gradually getting there! To save all of you the trouble of scrolling down to read the belated installments of the ‘Coming Soon’ posts from December, I’m simply reposting the titles like I did with ‘The Housekeeper’ a minute ago. And yes, all of those stories will receive a second chapter this month, which will be more punctual.
New Stories
To be fair, I said I was going to limit how many new stories I start. And the latest one is in line with the above statement about how I’m aiming for shorter stories. The other was started in October, but I wanted to give it one more shoutout:
From Taylor to Tay-Tay [Feminization] [AR]: Taylor finds himself victim to an immature prank that quickly goes from bad to worse when the temporary underwear he finds causes him to be mistaken for a girl. (Currently has four chapters on SubscribeStar, and will be getting two updates a month.)
Schoolgirl for a Day [AR}: The first chapter was posted yesterday on SubscribeStar! Commissioned by Roseleaf, and will only have so many installments per the outline. Perhaps the potential for a sequel; it’s too early to say for sure.
Milestone Update
Number-wise, nothing much has changed! Not the first time I’ve hit a plateau, and it certainly won’t be the last; I’m sure it’s a common experience for pretty much every content creator out there. Rather than doing the usual camp-y request for more subscriptions or higher tiers, I’ll just share the latest milestone rewards I’ve set up for when we do eventually hit those goals:
225 SubscribeStar Members—Extra exclusive post day each month. Probably on a Saturday.
300 Subscribers—Increased word count across the board for every post (excluding commissions).
Conclusion
Alright, I think that’s everything. As always, thank you for your support, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions/comments/suggestions/etc. While I try to avoid engaging on my posts, I’m more than happy to chat about whatever in other mediums. Just don’t expect an immediate response—I’m pretty bad at checking my messages, as some readers can probably attest. Work/life balance, and such.
Anyway, I hope all of you have a great start to your new year, and I’ll post another update in February!
Much love,
Lady Lucia
